Supporting Thriving & Resilient Communities

Wisconsin’s voice for collaborative action on issues to support rural communities!

Wisconsin Rural Partners, Inc. (WRP) serves as a network hub for organizations, government agencies and people working to make rural Wisconsin a better place. We strive through our work to build leadership for the communities of rural Wisconsin.  Through our annual Rural Summit, Small Community Forums, Top Rural Development Initiative awards and other events, we communicate the needs and successes of rural Wisconsin to policy-makers at the local, state and federal levels.

about us

Wisconsin Rural partners (WRP) has served as Wisconsin’s State Rural Development Council (SRDC) through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture since 1992.

WRP is a nonpartisian, nonprofit organization that brings together a cross section of residents, organizations and community leaders that bridge political affiliations & jurisdictional boundaries to advance initiatives important to rural communities throughout the state.

RECOGNIZING COMMUNITIES & ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE MADE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THEIR RURAL AREAS THROUGH COLLABORATION AND SHEER GRIT

Overcoming challenges to make good things happen in rural areas is difficult. We want to share their success stories so we can learn from one another and prove that, although many rural areas are struggling, there are places that are having success, which creates hope for all of us.
