The WRP Board of Directors voted to postpone the 2020 Rural Summit to April 21-22, 2021 at Hotel Marshfield. This was a difficult decision but a necessary one as we help our rural areas reopen and get the economy back on track again.

COVID-19 Federal Rural Resource Guide
USDA and its Federal partners have programs that can be used to provide immediate and long-term assistance to rural communities affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. These programs can support recovery efforts for rural residents, businesses and communities through: • technical, training, and management assistance; • financial assistance; and • state and local assistance.

Through our annual Rural Summit, annual Small Community Forums, monthly Rural Updates and other events, we communicate the needs and successes of rural Wisconsin to policy-makers at the local, state and federal levels.
Since December 1992, the organization has served as Wisconsin’s State Rural Development Council (SRDC) through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
